Ian and Sarah are calling on residents to sign the Brake Pledge as part of Road Safety Week 2016. The pledge asks drivers to consider six things before they drive: Slow, Sober, Secure, Silent, Sharp and Sustainable.
“We often hear from residents that speeding in Haxby & Wigginton is a concern, and having witnessed a couple of near misses as children crossed outside Headlands School, I wanted to be involved in Road Safety Week this year,” Sarah explained.
Ian and Sarah will be asking parents of pupils at Headlands to sign the pledge and take a selfie to promote the campaign later this week.
You can learn more about Road Safety Week from the Brake Website.
